We are looking for an experienced National Account Manager to join Lir Chocolates on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a well-established portfolio of international distributor and wholesale customers across Ireland and a variety of key export markets. You'll be responsible for driving profitable growth across both Lir and licensed brands including Baileys, Guinness and NOMO while delivering seasonal commercial plans.

Position type: Full time, temporary contract until August 2027
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30

• Manage key Irish, export distributor and wholesale accounts
• Deliver sales, margin and growth targets across national and international markets
• Lead customer negotiations, joint business planning and commercial reviews
• Develop and execute account plans aligned to business objectives
• Work cross-functionally with Marketing, NPD, Supply Chain and Demand Planning teams
• Identify new growth opportunities across existing and developing markets

• FMCG commercial sales experience
• Experience managing export, international or distributor accounts
• Proven track record delivering sales and margin growth
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills
• Experience developing strategic account plans and JBPs
• Knowledge of both export markets and the Irish retail market

Lir Chocolates operates across two modern buildings in the Johnstown IDA Industrial Park, Navan (C15 CY05). The site has a proud history of producing award‑winning chocolates and holds a long‑standing partnership with Diageo, manufacturing the well‑known Baileys and Guinness chocolate ranges sold worldwide. With three main production lines and around 150 employees, our workforce can double in size during peak seasonal periods to meet demand. We use a variety of specialist techniques, including panning, one‑shot production, spinning, hand‑decorating, spraying, and transfer technologies. The factory has benefited from significant investment in recent years to support growing demand, and many of our packaging formats are unique and hand‑assembled, creating hands‑on, varied work across both sites.
