Warehouse Operative

Lir Chocolates, Navan, County Meath

 

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic about working in a warehouse environment. No previous warehouse or forklift experience is required but any exposure to this type of work would be a bonus.

 

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re keen to learn, bring a positive and reliable attitude, and are comfortable working in a physically active environment. Strong attention to detail is essential, as accuracy is key to keeping our operation running smoothly.

 

Position type: Permanent Full-Time 

Hours: 40

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 06:30 - 15:00

Pay range: €14.57 per hour

Breaks: 30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid

 

Closing date: Friday 13th February 2026

Responsibilities

  • Carry out all core warehouse tasks, including delivering, wrapping, scanning, and booking pallets into the systems, ensuring accurate labelling and record‑keeping.

  • Load and unload lorries efficiently, put pallets into the racking.

  • Monitor stock flow by checking production progress and reporting any stock issues immediately.

  • Maintain high standards of GMP, cleanliness, and food safety.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse experience is desirable.
  • A valid forklift licence (Reach Truck Licence) is a advantageous 
  • Strong IT, numeracy, and communication skills, with clear written and verbal English
  • Highly organised, accurate, and detail‑focused.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and self‑motivated, with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Lir Chocolates produces a broad range of speciality chocolates under the Lir brand, as well as for major retail customers and other famous chocolate brands, all from our factory in Navan. We have three advanced production lines across two buildings, specialising in high-precision chocolate technologies such as panning, one-shot depositing, spinning, spraying, and decorative transfers. Our factory environment combines automated systems with artisan hand-finishing, creating unique packaging formats that add complexity and challenge to line design and maintenance
